I also make a concerted effort to understand the personality of the students I tutor and why it is that they are struggling in a particular subject. I understand that students learn in many different ways that are sometimes not supported at school, so I accomodate these different modes of learning and plan my lessons accordingly. My undergraduate degree is in biology, and I have spent the last three years working in an HIV/AIDS research lab, so I am knowledgeable in many fields of biology, particularly evolution, development, botany, ecology, and microbiology. However, I would also be comfortable tutoring many other subjects, including chemistry, physics, math through AP calculus, English, general Science, etc.
